Online Safety
As a school, we consider safeguarding our children to be our highest priority, with online safety forming a vital part of this commitment.
We teach children how to stay safe online through a range of approaches, gradually building their knowledge as they progress through the school. Pupils in Years 1–6 complete dedicated online safety lessons each year as part of a progressive curriculum, ensuring that learning develops as children grow and reflects the technology they use both in and out of the classroom. These lessons are delivered as part of our PSHCE curriculum.
In addition, children have access to a variety of technologies and are taught how to use them responsibly. These include iPads, robots, laptop computers, interactive web tools, and educational software. Each year we take part in Safer Internet Week, where we highlight the importance of staying safe online through a range of activities across the school.
We also provide support and guidance for parents to help you keep your children safe online at home. Please see the links below for further information.
