Meet our Governors

Nick Ankers (Chair of Governors)

Parent Governor - Current Term of Office due to end 12.10.19

Resources Committee

I am a parent governor and was elected to the role in November 2011. My association with the school started in 2001 when my youngest daughter joined Reception, (she's just finished her degree at the University of Leeds!), and my son is currently in Year 6.

During my time as a governor I have chaired the Health and Safety committee, the Teaching and Learning committee and am a member of the Resources committee. I was elected as Deputy Chair of Governors in 2015 and as Chair of Governors in 2016 and 2017, a role I presently hold.

I volunteered to become a governor as a way of contributing something back to the school, which has done so much for my family over the years. In supporting the staff, management and development of the school, governors seek to ensure that the learning experience of all pupils is the best it can be and that we never lose sight of our objective to provide 'A Love of Learning'.
